Nicholas Major has many years experience in the jewellery industry and has a wealth of knowledge. He is a Freeman of the City of London, a Freeman of the Goldsmiths Company, a Fellow of the National Association of Jewellers and is a past Chairman of the National Association of Goldsmiths.
His family business was William Major & Sons Ltd, who were in East Grinstead for over one hundred years and prided themselves in offering quality, value and professional service. When his brother decided it was time to fully retire, Nick decided to continue by becoming a private jeweller. He now supplies fine quality jewellery, bespoke jewellery, wedding rings, traditional hand lapped signet rings, which can also be seal engraved, and silverware. He fully supports the Kimberley process by buying all his stones and metals from reputable sources therefore avoiding any conflict issues.
He employs skilled craftsmen who make fantastic jewellery, can restore modern and antique jewellery, as well as remodel jewellery, recut stones and polish stones. He can also obtain stones to match, undertake valuations and sells jewellery, old gold and silver on commission.
“Fine jewellery is not just his business it is his passion”
